cute but not very sturdyMar 12, 2010 I bought this for a friend as a baby shower gift. It is very cute, however, I would NOT recommend leaving a newborn in this. The basket, hood, and handle was not sturdy and the padding on the bottom didn't seem safe and was very thin. I rated this 4 stars because I think it would be great for a baby 3 or 4 months old.... SUPERVISED. Basically an older baby that can support himself better. It is also very cute! And you cant beat the price! I would recommend something more sturdy and better quality if you plan on using this a lot and when your baby is very young.
Moses BasketMar 02, 2010 I really like the concept of this. The product is really well made. My only problem is that it would work better for me if 1) it was shorter, and 2) if you could carry a child in it. I have a little trouble keeping the hood on, too. But, again, this is a really well made product.
Great product for the priceJul 13, 2009 This was a great baby bed! We could sleep our baby girl virtually anywhere because it's SO easy to move from room to room and is an easy take-along in the car, too, so we could cart it along to friends and family houses. I really liked the removable "hood," too. If there is anything negative to say it's that the construction of the linens aren't the greatest. One of the ribbons started to fray, and the elastic in the fitted "mattress" sheet broke, but we didn't use it really anyway because our babe was always cloaked in the many blankets that people gifted her. It is extremely affordable and practical, and I would recommend this product for all those who would like function PLUS affordability.
Worthwhile purchaseJul 06, 2008 Not the sturdiest of products, but perfect for a safe place to lay baby down for a little while. Much smaller and cozier than a playpen.
Bad craftsmanshipJun 07, 2008 Just saw this in the store, reached for it happily - it's a nice simple design compared to all the frilly bassinets - and then my smiles ended...the basket itself is shoddy, not firm, and I wouldn't trust carrying it around with a load of laundry, never mind my baby! I saw of the few places the bumper was tied to the basket that one was broken, and I pulled lightly on another tie - poof! broke off. A newborn would have same strength, and you'd find the newborn with the bumper pad over him/her. I thought the product was very dangerous, and it made me angry that such poor craftsmanship is being sold for newborns.
