Being my first set of satin sheets I'm really not sure what to expect. The sheets feel soft, but they almost remind me of a shower curtain? I always thought satin was supposed to flow like a stream, be soft almost like silk, and be as light as a feather? Are these real satin sheets, because I'm confused?

I absolutely LOVE my new satin sheets! Other reviews I read before purchasing spoke of the dye on the mattress and whatnot, but if you wash the sheets before putting them on your mattress, you shouldn't have any dye problems. Matter of fact, the insert that comes with the sheet set recommends that you wash them first. After I washed them, they were still soft and absolutely wonderful!

These sheets came out of the box looking great and are very comfortable. They are cooler (temperature) than your standard cotton sheets. The only problem is they snag easily on bed corners and leave lines in the sheets.

The bottom sheet has an elastic band ALL THE WAY AROUND! If you have an 8 inch tall mattress this will tuck under all the way around the bed not just the head, foot or corners.
Works so great. I got these for around 30 bucks and if they get back to that price I want more. Thin but strong. Yes I had wrinkles after washing, like other reviewers, but when put on the bed that was no problem at all. I have purchased other satin sheets here and on Ebay that were like a rough nylon stocking material that you could see right through like a veil when held to the light and these are WAY better than those. Slick and smooth like you expect from satin sheets. Others complained about them being too slippery and I am thinking WHAT??
I have other satin sheets that are much heavier, and around $160 and do not have the elastic all the way around. They are quality and I like them but these breath and with the fantastic elastic I prefer this sheet.
Stained your bed, the color came off? I dunno. Wash them first if you are concerned. Your supposed to wash them first anyway- not that I do.
Please mark this review as helpful because no one else was mentioning the bottom elastic when I was reading reviews or I would have purchased a few more. These would work great on a waterbed.

A bit too slippery for me but a great feel on bare skin.
Worth the price.
