 Cute sofa for a toddlerFeb 08, 2010
Santa brought this to our 15-month old for Christmas. It was her favorite gift under the tree. She loves that she can sit on it and cuddle up on it by herself. She takes her dolls, a book, and her blanket and plops down. She loves to lounge on it, too, so we're glad we bought the couch instead of the chair.
As for size - it is perfect for her and she still has room to grow. She is only 15 months but she is tall (95+ percentile). She can share it with a friend her age, too. It would probably be too small for a three or four year old to enjoy for long, but at that point she will be able to climb onto the regular couch so we aren't that worried. The size is exactly what we wanted for her age.
She is able to turn it over if she puts too much weight on the back (trying to climb over the back, for example). We tend to keep it up against our wall, and make sure that she doesn't climb on it.
The construction seems nice for what we paid. The fabric feels a little cheap - slightly rough - but we've already had one spill on it and it cleaned easily. The mini pillows are a cute bonus, even though they are also somewhat cheap. It is lightweight but sturdy.
We have the navy, and the color is slightly different than shown. The color is a true dark navy, and the trim and pillows are a khaki color (not yellow like they appeared on our computer). It fits in well with our "grown-up" furniture and doesn't look out of place in our living room.
All in all - we are very happy with this purchase after looking at several options online and in stores. It is exactly what we wanted and we would buy it again, especially on sale.

The first one I ordered had a large upholstery nail protruding from the back. I didn't notice it until I slid it over a few inches and it left a long scratch along the wood base my kitchen island. Thankfully, I found it before it could cause any injury to my child. I had no problem returning the defective one though.
It's small, but that's the point, I thought. I shopped for a while before purchasing this one, and most of the toddler sofas are about this size.
The colors are also different than they appear on my screen. The green is more of a forest green than olive, and the beige is dark and could be called light brown or mocha.
Lastly, the fabric is a polyester twill with a very slight sheen that is much like the fabric used for fast food worker's uniforms.

Beautiful and strong homey sofa. Great for my 4 year old daughter. Let me say that at first I was scare to order this sofa because of the negative comments that other people left but I was amaze when I receive the sofa, it is strong (I even sit down on it to read a book to my child) and really comfortable. I recommend.

really cute, really durable, just wish it was a little bigger...seats two 2- or 3- year olds nicely, but not really meant for kids much older than that.

PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE HIDDEN "RETURN" POLICY OF THIS SELLER! Any returns are subject to a 15% RESTOCKING FEE that IS charged to you upon its return, not to mention the cost of reshipping the item back to FANTASY FURNITURE, which will cost you at least $50.00. And what a HUGE disappointment this couch turned out to be! The pictures and descriptions listed with the products are VERY MISLEADING and DECEIVING. I had originally bought the item for one my medium size dogs, but unless you have a poodle or a cat that you plan to put on it, DON'T BOTHER GETTING ANY OF THESE COUCHES! Anything heavier than 15 lb's will probably overload this couch and break it. Construction properties were quite shabby and cheap. If you plan to purchase this for a child, make sure that your child doesn't weigh more than 15-20 lbs, or older than a 2yr. old or they will have outgrown this couch before they even sit on it. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY...LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR SMALL FURNITURE FROM ANOTHER VENDOR.
