This desk is horrible. When we put it together, the nails that came with it are too long for the wood and broke through the top of the desk and now there are holes in the top of it. In addition, the handles pull off when you open drawers and the drawers don't close right or fit together so you need to open all drawers to get any one closed. You are much better sticking with Ikea.

Instructions need to be much better... I am good at doing projects like this but this one totally ticked me off.

I bought this desk for my guest bedroom. From the product photos I could not tell the poor quality of the paint/finished surface. Antique white was not just the description of the color but also the finish itself - the desk was made to look like the paint was antique, with the finished surface showing the "natural" wood under the "paint".
It took forever to assemble as every single thing needed to be put together and screwed in. As someone who actually enjoys doing this type of work, I was exhausted. Power tools definitely recommended. One of the screws included was actually too short and I had to resort to my own hardware to finish the project.
However, it does look pretty!
