 Cubby Bench fits my space and my needsApr 17, 2009
Ordered the bench and got it in excellent time. Two daughters put it together in about an hour, with little trouble. Bench has nice looking finish and roomy compartments to hold photo boxes, CD discs in a box and a basket at one end for sundries.Recommend it esp for townhouses like mine, where space is at a premium. It does double duty as seating room for the grandchildren.

We bought the bench and matching wall shelf for our kitchen in black. Both pieces are sturdy and I was surprised how heavy the wall unit was. But, they made it very simple to hang. I was impressed by that. I was also pleased that one of them came with a little black pen to fill in any scratches. I am really happy with both pieces and the price was right. I would recommend using Target as the delivery was quick.

I really like this bench. I got it in black and it looks sharp. It was easy to put together, I did it myself. I have read that some people are having trouble finding baskets to fit in the cubbies. I found some at the Target store that are PERFECT! They are natural and brown and black in color. They are from the home storage collection, milk crate style. Target should stock up on these and promote them with this bench.

I loved the look of this bench. Very similar to one Pottery Barn carries. I got the bench and wall shelf/cubby for less than one piece from PB, even with the extra shipping charge. I hoped the finish was more distressed. It is a laminate-type finish but it is still okay. I only gave 4 stars because the directions were not the best. My husband and I are very good at assembling things and this manufacturer could have done better with the directions. The pieces are not labeled so we had to be careful. Probably took 45 minutes for 2 people. Piece is very sturdy, no concerns about sitting on it. Looks great with the baskets I bought.
