This item was easy to put together and pleasant to look at. For the price, it was a great purchase.

I bought the entire Vanila Cream collection for my two girls (captains beds, dresser, nightstand, desk, bookshelf and two media stands). It is absolute garbage! I understand that you get what you pay for but we were on a budget, pressed for time and I saw so many good reviews(?????). Well what I got was the cheapest possible particle board, cardboard inserts for the drawers and worst of all PLASTIC hardware! From the start one of the bed SUPPORT pieces came snapped in two and the replacement piece came the same way despite the fact that the packaging was loaded with foam. When we saw how flimsy it was we used 3 bottles of wood glue and replaced all the plastic hardware with metal to reinforce everything. After just one month the paint started to wear off of everything, and after a year we had three broken drawers and two broken knobs. We have since replaced it all but I am still angry that we spent all that time, money and effort to keep it safe and presentable and they are still allowed to sell this stuff to unsuspecting buyers! We threw it in the garbage literally (and there were no takers!). Buyer beware......

Particle board disaster.Jul 24, 2009
This furniture (the whole collection) is cheap, particle board. I do not suggest using this furniture for a child's room. We bought the collection (two twin beds, the 5 drawer dresser and another dresser) for our sons' room. My oldest son is 4 1/2. This morning he jerked the top drawer open on the 5 drawer dresser, and the front of the drawer came off in his hand, sending the rest of dresser down on top of him. He's okay, but we are returning this furniture immediately.

This dresser looks nice, but it is of poor quality. The drawers do not hold much weight and the piece holding the drawers keeps coming off. I quess you get what you pay for.

The chest looks nice and it is roomier than I thought it might be. The only complaint I had is that the holes for the sides were off just slightly making it a little hard to get the bottom and top drawers in. Once in, they work a little hard, but overall not a huge problem.
