Love my bench, or should I say Brandy my brindle pit loves her bench. It's perfect in front of our picture window so she can sit there and look out...
 Cheap hinges, will spend more $$ next time for better qualityJan 18, 2009
Liked the look of this product which led to its purchase, but after only 9 months of moderate use the left seat hinges have bent. Cannot recommend this product and I will just spend more money on my next bench to ensure I'm getting a higher quality piece that I will actually 'touch and feel' in person; won't be buying any more furniture online.

Great product, easy assemblyOct 30, 2008
The bench was very easy for my husband to put together. The packaging did arrive beat up, but all the parts were intact and nothing was missing. The color is lighter than shown on the screen, but it's a lovely warm shade. Also, it's not entirely hardwood. The bottom of the storage chest is particle board, along with the pieces between the slats on the front, back and sides. Everything else is a solid hardwood, not sure what variety. The bottom piece does not fit tightly - ok for big items like shoes and such but not so great for tiny items. We bought this to hold wood pellets for our pellet stove and my husband will have to custom fit a plywood bottom. Not a huge deal but not something we were expecting to have to do either. All in all, a great piece of furniture for the price.

The measurements were slightly over what was indicated... making it too tight of a squeeze where the bench was to go in our entry way. The wood color was NOT what was described or in the picture. I expected a dark/espresso brown, and it was more of a cherry color.
Great value for the moneyFeb 08, 2008
We needed a good, sturdy and attractive place for the kids to put their shoes in our entryway. We wanted it to be well made and easy to use. This product comes through with shining colors! It was easy to put together and the kids love putting their shoes away. The only reason we don't give it 5 stars is after 2 months we have noticed that we have to adjust one of the hinges now and then, but that could also be caused by an error in installation on our part. Great overall choice!
