 Beautiful bench cheaply madeJan 18, 2010
I just put together this bench assmebly was easy and it looked beautiful I was so excited it was my first purchase for my vacation home. Well that was where that ended I had vistiors to my home the first person a 115 lb women sit on the bench alone and the slats started to break in the seat. I cant imagine what would have happened if there was a heavier person seated there or if it had been out in the weather with the seasons to see what this would have done . So dont be fooled these are beautiful to the eye but the quality of materials is very dissapointing .

We purchased this bench for around $100, it came in less than 1 week, it was easy to assemble, and all the parts were present with no defects or damage. The stain is beautiful. We added 3 coats of polyurethane for outdoor longevity. The price and quality makes for a great deal. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice outdoor bench for a low price.

Kapur is being logged from old-growth rainforests in Indonesia, mostly illegally. Logging there is wiping out the last rainforests of Indonesia, home to the highly endangered orangutan and thousands of other unique species of wildlife. The trees are from 250 to 1000 years old. check this website out rainforestrelief dot org. Go with a different type of material.

Kapur wood is listed as Critically Endangered, with a high risk of extinction. Are these products FSC certified, as grown sustainably? Otherwise we are all guilty of killing the natural forests in SE Asia that are so critical to our environment! Sure, may be a great bench at aStrathwood All-Weather Hardwood 3-Seater BenchStrathwood Hardwood Chaise Lounge fantastic price, but at WHAT REAL COST?
