Strathwood's cotton rope hammock has a classic design and provides the ultimate in outdoor relaxation. The rope bed is woven from natural cotton, and the spreader bars are of a durable hardwood. Its color combination of white and medium brown is pleasing to the eye and will enhance any outdoor décor. Measuring 55 inches wide by 82 inches long, the hammock bed offers ample room for two to snuggle or for one to sprawl. Overall, the hammock is 13 feet long, and will hold up to 500 pounds. There is no assembly required, and all the metal hanging hardware comes included. Installation and Usage: The rope hammock arrives ready for use. It may be hung between two secure upright posts or trees, or it may be used with a hammock stand. Existing porch or patio uprights may also be used as supports. Have an expert check if uprights are secure and able to support the weight intended in the hammock. Adjusting and Cleaning the Hammock: During shipping, the hammock may have become distorted or have gotten gaps in the bed due to packaging. This is normal. Hang the hammock up and simply brush hands across the weave to straighten it out. Due to a built-in stretch factor, the tension in the hammock may need to be adjusted several times. It will stretch to its desired length after continued use. Proper care and cleaning of the hammock will help preserve and maintain its natural beauty, as well as ensure years of use. Mild soap and water will remove most dirt and is not harmful to the natural cotton fibers. For stains, spot clean and rinse thoroughly. Maintenance Measures: To avoid the occurrence of mildew and to prolong the life of the hammock, it is recommended that it be kept out of direct sunlight and rain whenever possible, and stored in a dry environment when not in use. If possible do not leave the hammock outdoors overnight, and protect it from tree sap. If left out in the rain, let the hammock completely sun dry. A hammock storage bag, cleaner, and protective shield may be purchased to prolong the life of the hammock. Amazon.com has certified this product is Frustration Free. good valueSep 12, 2009 For the price, this was a good. Most in this price range have poor quality rope that doesn't last the summer. This one made it through the summer with all kinds of abuse.

Very comfy and strudy hammockJun 29, 2009 I recently purchased this hammock for my husband and I to relax outdoors. It has held up very nicely and the weather seems to not bother it as much as the really cheap rope ones. It's a great purchase and will purchase another when I need to.

Cotton HammockAug 06, 2008 The Hammock had a "breaking in" period. Our old one had been up so long that I had forgotten it. But, now its fine. Good quality at lower cost than most other hammocks. Just don't expect it to feel like your old one for a couple of weeks.

Poor productJul 10, 2008 Wish I had read the other reviews before I bought it! We've had it 2-3 weeks, where we've maybe sat on it maybe 10 times, and it has stretched out considerably already and a few of the ropes are starting to tear. Would not recommend that anyone buy it.

ok productMay 31, 2008 it is a great item except for the fact that it stretched out so much so that it now sags very low to the ground and we have only used it for 1 week. it's not that i weigh too much. i only weigh 117 lbs and it holds up to 500 lbs.
